Morning time in Java Highest Peaks (Part 3)

Starting with prayer and stretching a bit, we started the trip at 2:00 in the morning. But not only us, but there was also a group from Pasar Minggu, Jakarta who joined us.

Sunny weather made us very excited. Maybe it's not just this, the situation that is still dark makes us not limp to see the steep uphill track. At dawn, we entered the field of sand tracks so we performed the morning prayer in a seated position because there really was no sloping land.

This sand track is indeed very long and very tiring. Just tips from senior brother. On tracks like this, look for footing that people have stepped in and put a little tip of the shoe into the sand in a horizontal position because taking steps in a slightly tilted position causes your feet to get tired quickly. So just follow the climber in front of you. These tips are very helpful for me but still, a strong determination is needed. Moreover, this steep track feels very tiring when the sun is getting higher. But after finishing the senior brother's giving false hope, this leg finally arrived at the peak at 07.00. Alhamdulillah, all praise is due to Allah who still provides an opportunity to set foot on the highest land of Java. The peak that had only existed in dreams is now in plain sight.

From the top of Mahameru can be seen a mound of hills that surround. The peak of Mahameru is quite wide and sloping with rock contours. Every half hour there is a puff of smoke coming from a crater called Jogring Saloko. Many climbers are waiting for this moment to just be captured on camera. We are also not inferior to them, exploring angles that are felt instagramable.

Once satisfied we immediately went down. To get to Kalimati does not need a long time with a sand track like this, about 2.5 hours we arrived at the camp. Carry on the default packing and go home without staying in the mountains again. Alhamdulillah, we were able to reach Ranupani at 21:00 and rest in the front hall of the TNBTS office until the next day.

This is a bit of my journey with them that I often bother. Big thankful for bang Mulya, mas Ndut, bang Tynol, Dedik mas, and Bella deck because they have become very pleasant road partners. How lucky to have a new family like them. The summit will only become a dream if I don't meet these great people. I miss the wild adventure with you guys again. And hopefully, each trip will make us a more grateful, more humble person. As well as making every trip a means for us to get closer to the Almighty. thanks.
